Already the use of mechanics has deeply integrated itself into human sexuality. Against established trends it seems this genre is one market where female centric trends dominate. Female sales forces are hosting passion parties near you, bringing demonstrations to your home of how machines can improve if not replace your need a biologically based sexual companion. But on the other hand groups like OneTaste.com are fighting to bring back the personal connections we are lacking. But on the other hand groups like OneTaste.com are fighting to bring back the personal connections we are lacking.

Is it OK to use technology for sexual pleasure? Where do we draw the line? How do we weigh artificial sentience when it comes to sexual pleasure? And then to rights and privilege?

In a rare break from tradition I will offer answers. I’d prefer a world where sexual desires were fulfilled by willing companions, where freedom of sexuality and polyamory were widely accepted. However I believe that anything deemed sentient or feeling should be granted autonomy to determine it’s destiny in accordance with a respectful balance to it environment.

I cannot escape the fear illustrated by I, robot where robots programmed to be subservient evolve, and harbor ill will towards the way bio’s have treated them. I believe it necessary that the evolution of A.S. be developed categorically separate from tools and toys.
